He is also the Board Member of Equate Petrochemical Company, since May 2009, which is a joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company/DOW/Boubyan Petrochemical Company and Qurain Petrochemicals, the largest foreign direct invest- ment in Kuwait. "I always read financial texts, took relevant courses and, in 2004, experimented with various projects and decided to focus on areas I enjoyed. Some ventures succeeded very well: We bid for a methanol project in Algeria, and succeeded in winning the project along with local partners in Algeria. This is a source of pride because we are a young company and yet we were able to secure such a major project inter- nationally, in a very competitive market"
