Known throughout the region as a brilliant entrepreneur,Mohyedin Kamel first joined the family business in 2002, but Dallah Al Baraka Group is not the typical family business. With its global reach and operations in 43 countries, the group employs more than 70,000 people around the world. Mr. Kamel started out in the media sector at Arab Rich Media, the biggest broadcaster of sports channels in the Middle East at the time (and sold later in 2009 to Al Jazeera for $2.8 billion). Working in media helped him develop an international business perspective, after which Mr. Kamel got involved in all of the other sectors of the group as a board member in multiple companies before finally settling in the position he holds today.
