His rise in the banking world has been continual.After beco- ming a Regional Manager in 1984, then Country Branch System Head in 1987, he was promoted to head up the Consumer Banking Group of SAMBA just five years later. In 1996 he also was given responsibility for the Private Banking and Investment Management Group and, in 1999, under his supervision SAMBA took over United Saudi Bank (USB). In January 2002, he was appointed to the Board of Directors, becoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in late 2003. Since then, he has de-merged from a technical management agreement with Citigroup, switching over to complete Saudi Management, and built SAMBA into one of the leading banks in the Kingdom.
