BADALI (AL) Hind Khalid Ahmed , Senior Pharmacist Clinic Medicine Researcher Imperial College London
In 1997 Hind Al Badali began working as a pharmacist at the King Fahad National Guard Hospital in Riyadh. She stayed on at the hospital working in all aspects of Pharmacology and pharmaceuticals growing in her job as the hospital morphed into the King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC). She expanded her horizons by earning her Masters degree from Leeds University, in Health Management Planning and Policy, becoming the institution’s quality improvement and medication safety specialist - a job that would further increase her involvement in the nation-wide creation of new health care quality and medical standards in the KSA. Motivated by an absence of standardized quality practices, and modeling her efforts on European and American hospital safety systems, she began her quest to institutionalize training of quality monitoring personnel and standardize health maintenance through medical safety programs across the Kingdom.
